Flora and fauna inspire Michael Sherrill’s colorful sculptures constructed from extruded components of clay. He is a frequent instructor at Penland and has taught workshops across North America. Michael was a featured presenter at the Smithsonian’s Clay exhibition and was honored as Artist of the Year by the Mint Museum of Craft + Design in Charlotte, NC. He designed a line of tools for potters and sculptors called Mudtools®.
