


Expand your drawing skills by examining how and what you see. Work with the understanding that the drawing itself is the object rather than a picture of an object. Participants will explore the limitless possibilities of a single material - charcoal – with attention being given to the working of one’s own mind. Gerald Auten is a member of the fine arts faculty at Dartmouth College. His austere graphite works have been exhibited nationally and internationally including Teheran, Mexico City, Vancouver and New York. Recent venues include: The Currier Museum of Art, The American Academy of Arts and Letters and The National Academy Museum.
